What does my donation pay for?

The monthly budget of 840 CHF splits into three lines. Food takes about 300 of it: rice, beans, oil, bread. Running costs, around 40 CHF, cover cooking wood and upkeep of the place. The remaining 500 CHF pays the local team, two employees backed by volunteers. In 2023, between 80 and 100 young people were welcomed at the centre every day.

How can I give?

The Stripe button sets up a monthly card donation. Twint works from Switzerland. The QR-bill opens in your banking app, where you set the amount. A standard bank transfer to the association’s IBAN also works; the details are in the Bank Transfer (Switzerland) section.

Does membership cost anything?

No. Joining costs nothing and commits you to no payment. Membership and donation are two separate steps: you can do one without the other. The form below only asks for a name and an email address.

Who handles the money on the ground?

John Kirai Gitau, co-founder, lives in the neighbourhood and oversees the activities at the centre. In Switzerland, Viktor Crettenand is the treasurer of the association.
